Wasco's E&P Services Division provides solutions for corrosion protection of critical assets. From sacrificial anodes, thermal spray coating to corrosion sensors and pipe wrap, the Division will ensure asset integrity is maintained at the highest level.

PRODUCTS

With an annual anode production capacity in excess of 4,000MT, Wasco operates one of the region's largest and most respected foundries. In addition to our proprietary MPE® anodes, Wasco is the first anode manufacturer in Asia to qualify for Shell's stringent DEP 37.81.20.31-EPP standard relating to deepwatersacrificial anodes.

Wasco Corrosion Services offers both thermal sprayed aluminium (TSA) and thermal sprayed zinc (TSZ) services. Our TSA corrosion protection system is an extremely durable system, providing significant corrosion protection improvements over conventional coatings systems. It is well suited for a variety of demanding marine, subsea, atmospheric and high temperature applications.

Wasco has partnered with Deepwater®, to offer cathodic protection systems for offshore and marine assets, specializing in the development of innovative retrofit technology for aging assets in need of life extension.

RetroSled is a retrofit sacrificial anode system designed for pipelines where anode burial below the natural seabed is required or anticipated. The sled can be rapidly and safely deployed offshore with little-to-no diver intervention.

Retromat
CP

RetroMat CP is a standard flexible concrete stabilisation mattress with an integrated cathodic protection system comprising many interconnected small aluminium anodes cast directly into the concrete. The system is designed to provide cathodic protection for pipelines at crossings or in other unstable conditions.

A Medium to Heavy-Duty Cold Applied Bitumen / PVC Pipewrap for use where a tough conformable pipewrap coating is required.

A Heavy-Duty Cold Applied Bitumen/PVC Pipewrap for use where a tough conformable pipewrap coating is required.

Bituwrap Primer

A Heavy-Duty Brush or Spray Applied Bituminous Primer for use with the Guardian Bituwrap Bitumen Tape Systems.

Petrolatum

Since their first introduction in 1929, Petrolatum Tapes (generically) have established an enviable and unrivalled track record of proven corrosion protection performance in a host of environments. The Guardian Petrolatum System exploits this proven technology to deliver a class leading corrosion prevention system. The combined features of true surface tolerance, ease of use, the ability for this system to be applied both above and below water and provide 30 Years + Corrosion Protection Performance, makes this an outstanding choice.


Petrolatum Primer

Petrolatum Primer is a key component of the Petrolatum System, and is a petrolatum compound incorporating inert fillers and corrosion inhibitors. It is manufactured in accordance with Standard C217-04 of the AWWA.

Petrolatum Mastic HT

Petrolatum Mastic HT is a key component of the Petrolatum System, which is a blended reinforced petrolatum. Incorporating inert fillers, it also contains corrosion inhibitors and thermal extenders.

Petrolatum Tape HT

Guardian Petrolatum Tape HT is an integral component of the Petrolatum System, and is based upon a non-woven polyester fabric which has been fully impregnated and saturated with a petrolatum compound, blended with inert fillers, corrosion inhibitors, wide spectrum biocide and thermal extenders. It is manufactured in accordance with AWWA Standard C217-04.

Petrolatum Overwrap PVC Tape

Overwrap PVC Tape is a key component of the Petrolatum System, and is a stable, plasticised PVC Carrier coated with an antifungal, pressure sensitive, natural rubber adhesive. It is resistant to acids, alkalais, and bacteria, as well as increases mechanical and dielectric strength of the GUARDIAN Petrolatum Tape.

Splash Zone

Guardian offers two systems to protect your piles against corrosion, based on the exposure of piles to water.


Guardian 100 System

The Guardian 100 System protects piles against corrosion in sheltered or non-exposed water locations, where swell/wave height is typically less than or equal to 2.5m.

Guardian 2000FD System

The Guardian 2000FD System protects piles against corrosion in open water locations, be it offshore or onshore.



System components include:

Petrolatum MM Mastic

MM Mastic is used for filling voids and profiling sharp angular changes to enable tape application without bridging or voiding.

Petrolatum MP Primer

MP Primer will profile minor surface imperfections and enable uniform adhesion of Guardian Mastic and Guardian Tape to the cleaned substrate.

Petrolatum MT Tape

MT Tape is inert and will not polymerise or oxidise. Its non-hardening properties allow the product to accommodate both substrate vibration and movement.

Petrolatum PP Tape

PP Tape may be applied to new piles and substrates with pitting less than 1,000 micron in depth without the prior application of Guardian Primer.

Over the past 20 years, our partner HCL has cemented their position as leaders in the manufacture and design of Subsea & Downhole clamping solutions. HCL manufactures a number of product categories within the Smart® product family.

Sensorlink's PipeMonit® and UltraMonit® system addresses clients' need for effective and reliable corrosion/erosion monitoring and wall thickness measurements. UltraMonit® is a clamp-on subsea tool containing ultrasonic transducers which allow online access to highly accurate corrosion data. PipeMonit® is a lighter version for topside and onshore applications.
